The first task of this lesson was to dust each petal with a dark pink in the middle, and light pink on the sides, green at the very bottom and brown dots with an edible ink marker. When making these petals, we pinched the bottom so that it had another realistic effect. And while working with the color dust, a tap of each container was put on a paper towel. Some of the colors always have different colors in them that can mess up the out look of your petal or flower, the green had blue in it and the yellow had green in it, so we just had to be careful.
Next, we dusted the leaves with green to give it a more realistic look, and then slightly added some pink to give it a rose, dusted appearance.
It truly is the most gorgeous flower covered in all four courses.
This Stargazer Lily in total took me two hours to create!
And I loved making it.
Sweet pea spray
Blossom bouquet
All the flowers made in course four!
And that is my last lesson from all four courses of Wilton Cake Decorating!
I must admit, it was challenging at times..but hey...I'm 15, I did it for fun and for a high school credit, and there was nothing that I came across that I absolutely could not do. It looks hard, but once you learn how it's made, it's easy to remake. If I can do it, you can do it! Go ahead and take the courses for yourself, you won't regret it and just look at all what you can make!
These gum paste flowers are as delicate as fine china and break in a jiffy. And it sure is hard trying to find a place to store them where they'll be safe.
Mrs.Cristal came up with this flower all by herself. She told me that she sat down next to a Poinsettia one day and just made it with no instructions at all.
That's the gorgeous thing. Once you get down the basics, you can be yourself and recreate pretty much any flower you want!
My classmate, Elba started homeschooling her children shortly after we met. I told her all about CBA and she's working on enrolling now!
It's been such a joy taking these courses.
